Can you give us a little more info, like a description of what is happening or not happening.  Attach some sample code showing the bug if you can.

no need to sample code
just run FindFolder to LV Path.vi
the default input setting is kSystemFolderType

the PPC version returns ... the path of the system folder
the Intel version returns nothing

Where does "FindFolder to LV Path.vi" come from?  I couldn't find a VI with that name on my computer - I have LV 8.2.

Where does "FindFolder to LV Path.vi" come from?

vi.lib/Platform/FileManager.llb

Sorry I don't seem to have that llb .   Are you sure it is an NI one?

I get the same result. It returns Error Code 1 from PBGetCatInfo.vi. The Help suggests an invalid input parameter, but the inputs look very similar on the PPC and Intel machines. I have a Dual G5 and a MacIntel MacBook. Both with LV8.20 and OS X 10.4.8.

Note to pauldavey: The Platform directory contains platform-specific VI and .llbs. If you are not on the Macintosh platform, you may not have this VI.

Hello and thanks for the heads-up!

Can any of you upload some screenshots that I can take to R&D?  I'm not terribly familiar with Macs, but if you could create screenshots of what it is supposed to look like (on the PPC) and on the Intel machine, it would be extremely helpful!

It is users like you that help us make LabVIEW a better and better product.

Thanks,

sorry to repeat myself but it is not necessary to send screenshots nor test vi,
just run FindFolder to LV Path.vi

on a PPC machine, there is a result (default is path of the system folder)
on an Intel machine there is no result

Hello PIBee,

I just wanted to clarify - National Instruments does not fully support the use of LabVIEW on intel macs, so I do not have access to an intel mac in my department.  I was hoping to get a screenshot of the unexpected behavior and the error message that appears to include in a report to R&D.

Thanks and happy programming!
