buttons not greying out correctly

Hi, anyone know why my buttons arent greying out correctly, i.e. blending in with the backround colour. pic attached.

What is it you want them to do? What do you think they should look like?

i expected them to look like they do in this attached pic. It appears labview is unable to render the transparency correctly if certain decorations reside directly behind the buttons.

In this pic, i have them sitting on a bevelled panel, whcih seems to like it.
