Any ideas what to do? The status LED3 is constantly lit (indicating critical error - contact NI).
I have reinnstalled, formatted etc etc etc but to no results. (safe mode works) All IP settings are OK. This is only happening to this controller, and the controller is new out of the box. As said, installing the same software to another 9023 controller gives no issues. (We have currently 8 other 9023's running the same software as well)

I recommend to do exactly what the LED tells you to do: Critical error, get in contact with NI. Especially since the system is new and out of the box. Send it back and get it replaced...

Well to finish how this went:
The cRIO was a spare part we have as backup for a machine. It has been stored 6 years.
It is a critical component so we always have these in spare to be quickly replaced in case of system failure. So we had a lot of issues when the spare part did not work, when we got a system failure after 6 years at that specific system - where the point of having the spare part is to have as low downtime as possible.
NI said it had exceeded the 5 years warranty so it does not help if it is straight out of the box or not.
The end customer has lost faith in NI due to both an invoice for repair costs, but the costs for the system downtime are bigger. They refuse to pay repair costs for an unopened spare part.
So in the end I am upgrading to a newer model instead of repairing this, have ended up having a customer that has lost faith in NI, got furious about repair bills, and is scared of system downtime even if we buy an additional cRIO for spare part use per machine.

Case got solved and a good solution was found with NI.
Customer happy 🙂
