cRIO 9067 Chassis Problem

Solved!

Yes, cRIO devices absolutely do work on LV2015. That's why I think there is an installation issue.

I would agree with Sam here.  I work almost exclusively in 2015 and have used a cRIO from every family at one point or another so I can confirm that there is no compatibility problem.

I would make sure that ADE support is installed for your RIO drivers.  I am suspecting that this is a problem with the RIO driver because it is not letting you add any c-series modules (even if it cannot find actual modules you should be able to add a generic module).

Ok, problem solved.

You were right, I had a software installation problem.

My 2015 cRIO driver was an update from installed 2014. When I installed a fresh copy of 2015 driver, system worked as expected.

I had a similar issue with myRIO before, i.e. when I update drivers to 2015 from 2014, system presents discovery issues. Similarly, fresh copy of drivers solved the issue.

I can't state a conclusion here. Nevertheless I thank you all for sharing your thoughts.

Hi,

thanks, I had the same problem and this helped me solve it with one extra step:

1. I installed the CRIO device drivers on the PC again.

2. I removed the already installed software from the CRIO and installed it again in NI MAX.

3. Last important step was: I removed the Chassis from my LabVIEW project and added the chassis again. Then it would automatically discover my modules.

Cheers,

Robin
