In MAX I show the following: A cRIO-9073 with NI-RIO 3.0.0 installed. My System Software has NI-RIO 3.0. In LabView 2009, when I try and add the cRIO to my LabView 2009 project thru New->Targets and Devices, I don't have a Real-Time CompactRIO list and my cRIO does not appear. I have tried adding it manually with it's IP address, but this does not work either. I have upgraded the cRIO software to LabView Real-Time 9.0.
Is there other software I need to update on the cRIO for it to be visible in LabView 2009? Do I need a newer version of NI-RIO?
Thanks for any assistance.
Todd

Hey,
Are you sure that you have the exactly same software on your cRIO then you have on your development machine now?
You can check this in MAX when doing a custom software install on your cRIO.
Where in LabVIEW do you add the target? under "Project" or "My Computer"?

Hey,
In MAX it shows NI-RIO 3.0 for My System and NI-RIO 3.0.0 for the cRIO. Looks like the same version to me, except the last ".0". Does that make a difference?
As for adding the device, I right click on Project and go to New and then Targets and Devices.
Does NI-RIO 3.0 work for LabView 2009? I was looking at NI-RIO 3.2.1 and it says it adds support for LabView 2009.
Thanks for your help.

I upgraded from NI-RIO 3.0 to NI-RIO 3.2.1 and LabView 2009 appears happy.
Cheers,
