cRIO-9074 + NI-9870/71

Hello,

I am trying to get to work 9870/71 modules on my 9074. I did some searching on the forum and in most cases people were unable to create serial ports in MAX due to missing software or problems with MAX database.

As far as I can see scan engine support for cards is installed, VISA and VISA server are there too and yet there seems to be a problem.

Are there any dependencies, compatibility issues that I am not aware of or other packages that I am missing?

Hello, have you tried following step?

Discover, Configure, and Communicate with NI 987x Modules in Scan Mode

Before operating NI MAX, you should create LabVIEW Project and deploy it.

That one slipped under my radar. Yes, creating project, and deploying it to cRIO actually makes them visible in MAX.
