I am in the process of creating and application which takes dimensions of structural steel beams and creates 2D views of each plane. I've accomplished the 2D view aspect of the application. I am now looking at taking all the views and combine them into a 3D model. I have started looking at open source programs to help me accomplish this task. Any ideas that might help me along? Has anyone tried this before? what 3D rendering software was used? How easy is it to integrate into labview?
I took a look at your link but i have no idea what to do with the zip file. I am using Labview2009, the software requirments are LabWindows/CVI Full Development System 5.5. Any suggestions?
I have another question. I can easily create a solid box but how do I make a hole that goes completely through it and one that goes halfway through it?
I was thinking that I'd need to create a cylinder that is inside the box and then make it transperant....that didn't work. Any suggestions?
