can I insert my own buttons into a vi

Is it possible to substitue some of the standard buttons in a VI with my own and make them functional?

Yes you can customize a button by right clicking the button go to advanced->customize and you can add a image onto your button or customize it as needed

Thank you for the help.... this was pretty simple.  However, one last question;  I saved the edited button as a CTL file in my root directory but I can't seem to find it again within the Labview Controls dialog.  I assumed I would be able to put it under the Users Control area but I can't figure out where would I put this new CTL file in the folder structure so I can find it under the User CTL choice.  Any suggestions?

Hi,

 

 

Go to Tools>Advanced>Edit Palette Set. There you can rightclick the Controlspallete and select "Insert Custom Control" (or something like that)
