Re : can i use start and stop trigger as often as i want on PXI6534?

Hello everybody,

i use 2 6534pxi cards in pattern I/O mode one for writing and one for reading, in addtion i use start and stop triggers connected to ACK/starttrig and stoptrigger pins of both cards.

I would like to kown if i could send data from start trigger when stop sending data with stop trigger, and start sending data again on my 1st card when receiving an internal signal from my other card?

Hi,

as far as I know only one trigger can be configured for either Input and Output. So you could only implement a Restart-Trigger
by connecting the two different start trigger signals to the Starttrig Pin externally.

There is a mode that mix both start and stop trigger but it doesn't explain if i can re-use easily these 2 triggers one after the other.

user manual 653xcard  part 2-9:

"When you use a start and stop trigger, data transfer starts upon receiving a trigger on the start trigger line (ACK/STARTTRIG pin) and ends upon

receiving a trigger on the stop trigger line (STOPTRIG pin), and ..."
