can't find additional installer for build spec

In my LV 8.01 or LV 8.2 installer build spec, if I check any one of the following Additional Installers,

DAQmx 8.3
or
NI Variable Manager
or
NI Variable Engine

and then click build, I eventually get a "Locate Distribution" dialog that says:

"Locate the NI-DAQmx 8.3 distribution. LabVIEW needs to copy a component installed or updated by the distribution to continue
building the installer."

Then I navigate to different Device Driver CDROMS, or a directory on my hard drive that contains the contents of Device Drivers CDs, or the downloaded DAQmx installer from in.com, and click the "select current folder" button, the Locate Distribution dialog adds the message, Invalid location for "NI-DAQmx 8.3" in red. (Everything works when I select MAX or Field Point or LVRTE as additional installers.)

I simply don't have, "NI-DAQmx 8.3 distribution," tho DAQmx 8.3 is installed on my computer. Do I need to reinstall everything? Any hints? thanks. cc

Hi,

You can uninstall DAQmx 8.3 and then copy the content of the device driver CD onto the hard drive and install from that location or reinstall the downloaded DAQmx driver.
