Did you mean:

cannot open block diagram

Hello,

If you would like me to look at your files so I can replicate and solve the issue, then please upload them to here in a zip file (like rjwon.zip):

ftp://ftp.ni.com/incoming/

This directory is only open to NI employees so it should be a safe option for your code.

I will be happy to take a look at this.

Have you tried? It actually is "write-only". You can place files there, but you cannot get them out unless you are NI.

(I just placed this file, no problems)

IE8 on one of my machines has trouble copying to the ftp site. in thtat case I just cut-n-paste the URL into Windows Explorer and then I can copy to the ftp OK.

Or just  use "Page...open ftp site in Windows Explorer" in IE8. (tools in upper right).

I'm on IE 6.0. I tried some of the things suggested but keep getting the error '

ISA Server: extended error message :

200 Type okay.
500 Illegal PORT command

' Perhaps this may be firewall related.

I'll try sending from my personal pc.

File will be rjwon.zip. let me know if you can view it.

I have confirmed my colleagues findings with whom you have been in contact recently. (The VI is beyond recovery). Some comments I have:

- Some of the new VIs you may have used in your updated code could have been saved without a block diagram, causing this error.
- I would recommend using LV 8.5.1, not 8.5. (there are some bug fixes related to this problem).
- You may find this useful reading for other causes of this problem that have not been commented on so far: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/00A6BACDA1C01A0786256B60006163E7

I am trying to open a VI which was not created by me. I am not sure if the VI was saved without the block diagram. All I can access now is the front panel.

I guess this was created in another PC.

Is there any possible way i can get accessto the block diagram of this VI. This is a VI used for commercial Power supply circuit testing .

Thanks.
