cant get 3-d graph examples to work in labview 6i

I have labview 6i working well on my pc. everything works except it cannot plot 3d graphs. not even the 3d graph examples work. is there a driver that i need in my PC to make this work? does it have anything to do with active x?

Greetings!

Do you get any error messages, or does it just go "dead"? I've had no problems with 6i in that regard at all. I don't think Activex has anything to do with the regular 3D suite. I believe a bit more information is in order before we can render a verdict.

Hi,
Its a strange thing. There are no errors at all. the program does not jam, neither does the PC. The VI plays, but absolutely nothing is displayed on the 3d plot. I tried adding 2-d plots to the various inputs to the 3d examples, and the 2d plots plot the inputs to the 3d plot sub vi without a problem. Its very strange. Any suggestions?

As I recall, many of the 3-d chart exaples come with the phrase,
"You must have the LabVIEW Full or Professional Development Systems to run this example."

Hello again!
You might try changing the color mapping.....you may be actually plotting the data, but it could be invisible, by being the same as the background color. Are you getting a grid to plot?

Also...if you could send me your actual VI, I might be able to fix it, if there's a problem

good luck!
