chemometrics

I'm involved in a spectroscopic project which runs on labview. For a new
application we will need some more sophisticated chemometric
statistics/calculations to classify the results.
Does anybody have expierence with LV and Chemometrics?
Is it a big advantage to use Mathlab( which i do not know yet) as an add-on?
Are there any (free) libraries availible somewhere?

Thanks
for any hints!

Urs,

LabVIEW provides a long list of analytical functions which probably can be used for chemometrics, too. NI doesn't offer a toolkit that provides special functions for this type of application but a quick search in Google returns more than 10.000 results for chemometrics and LabVIEW which indicates that this combination is used quite frequently.

All over the world NI cooperates closely with a big network of Alliance Members. There is a good chance that some of these companies have expertise in chemometrics. E. g. in Germany you may want to talk to AMC but I'm not 100% sure if they can provide what you are looking for.

I hope this helps,

Thanks for the hint, I tried here first, but Google is more succesfull:

http://www.paa.co.uk/process/products/charmworks.asp

that's not for free, but exactly what I'm looking for....

Danke und Tschüss

Hi Urs,

We are considering releasing our chemometric prediction engine as a labview vi - take a look at www.thermo.com/grams for details of the PLSplus/IQ package and the link to My Instrument for details of a windows Dll you could wrapper (free of charge) to access our models.

All the best
