code 229771

Hi,

Why do you get error code 229771 ? does it happen frequently? how can we stop?

We had to reset after we got this error code and now we lost  all previous setup. But before we generate the mill task again we have to make sure that it does not happen .

Could you please help.

Best regards,

Sarmistha

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.  I'm not familiar with whatever equipment you are using, and I'm not looking over your shoulder when you run the code, so you have to be a LOT more specific about what you are talking about.

You need to supply a bit more information.

What vi is returning the code? Attach the vi! What hardware is used? What kind of mill? Is there a description for the error?

We can read the information you give us but not your mind.

Did you read the error explanation?

Spoiler
It says "Internal Software Error occurred in MIG software. Please contact National Instruments Support."

Did you do what that error explanation says?

Btw. I guess the correct error number is -229771…

Actually, the OP may be thinking they are contacting NI Support by posting here.  It's a pretty common mistake.

Apparently this error used to be pretty common and had to do with DAQmx drivers that were either the wrong versions or conflicting with other software on the PC (usually anti-virus or networking hacks).

Try this Knowledge Base article first:  Error -229771: Internal Software Error Occurred in MIG Software - National Instruments (ni.com)

Also try a search for "Labview error 229771" and you'll find several threads where users have dealt with this.  Unfortunately, it seems to be a problem that is related to specific PC setups so you may have to do some deep troubleshooting to determine a root cause.

If you have any other questions please provide more details than just the error code.  Hopefully someone who had a similar situation will be able to help.
