I am not sure exactly what you mean by communicating with Matlab's command line. Are you using a National Instruments software to try to communicate with Matlab? Perhaps we can find a way to do what you are trying to do completely in one of the two environments. Please give some more details regarding your application so that we can work together to solve your issue.
