compatibility between USB and DAQ card in lanview 7.1

Hello,

I have been using labview 5.0 and just got the licence for labview 7.1, and installed it.

I find myself with a real mess: many sub vi's are not found and can not detect my DAQ card anymore. Can anyone helpe me solve the problem or at least tell me where to start? The missing vi's are the following: AI single scan, DAQFT Acquire, AI single scan; AI config; AI hardward config.

The data acquisition card that I have is a DAQ-Card AI 16XE SO

After installing labview 7.1 and then, the devices that go with it, I was not even able to lounch MAX... is there an order to load the information up?

please carefully read the upgrade notes for the new LabVIEW 7 DAQmx which replaced the traditioanl DAQ from LV 5. some of the elder cards are not supported by DAQmx. As far as i know the traditional DAQ-VIs are not istalled with LabVIEW 7.1. maybe you have to install traditional DAQ first.

your NI DAQCard-AI-16XE-50 for PCMCIA is not supported under DAQmx, you have to install Traditional NI-DAQ driver.
