configure cfp 2010

Hi,

I have a cfp 2010 and cfp ai-100 module. When I configured the cfp 2010 through the measurement and automation explorer, I can see the cfp 2010 in the remote systems that means ethernet connected running well. However, when I try to find devices, sometimes it works well and sometimes I get the message about "the connection to remote device time out", than I can not configure the cfp module. I try the same process to configure the cfp 2010 several times, and I can not solve this issue. I am sure that the hardware connection is correct and ethernet status is good, because when I finish configuring the cfp2010, it works well. Can anyone help me to solve this issue?
Thanks.

Fred,

Try increasing the timeout settings in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). You can do this by right clicking on the FieldPoint unit listed under Remote Systems and selecting Communication Timeout Settings. You will only have the option to change the Communication Timeout Settings if you have not connected to the device yet or if you receive the connection to remote device time out error message.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion. I already try to increase the timeout settings. Finally I figured out that I have made a mistake about the IP conflict when I connect to internet. After I disconnect to the internet and creat an intranet by myself, it works well. Therefore, I will try to give this cFP a specific IP without conflict with other computers.
Thanks again for your help.
