Good morning.
I can't connect my Rohde & Schwarz spectrum analyser to LabVIEW via USB or LAN. I can't find the corresponding VI. Please help me.

Technically your statement is wrong 😀. The ability to connect your device to the computer only depends on using the correct cable.
Second, you forgot to mention what model number your device has. Rhode & Schwarz made several 100 devices in the past 40 or so years and not all of them use the same protocol syntax.
Last but not least, there may indeed not exist a ready made instrument driver for your device. Have you contacted Rhode & Schwarz about if they provide such an instrument driver? In the past they usually provided a rather broad instrument driver suite for their devices but they may have decided in recent times to cut some of their R&D expenditure.
If there is no ready made driver for your device, either in the Instrument Driver database from NI or from Rhode & Schwarz themselves, you still can communicate with the device but will have to consult the Programmer Reference Manual for your device and start sending the correct commands and interpreting the responses yourself. Usually you can take one of the existing instrument drivers for a similar device from the same manufacturer and then modify it to use the correct commands for your specific device.

Should there be no LV support in form of a VI set from R&S for your device model, the integrated LV standard VIs should suffice. At least for LAN. The USB device depends on the type and driver. It's supposed to be a virtual COM port on the PC side.

Hi,
which Spectrum Analyzer do you have? Do you use our LabVIEW drivers, or you want to work directly with VISA VIs?

Model .06
It's true that I didn't contact them directly. I'm going to do so and I hope they'll be able to help me.
Thank you very much.
