Hi
I used to publish VIs on the LV 8.6 Web server, not witkout problems, but with some workarounds it came into deployment.
Now try to similar things and run into problems.
I use LV 2010sp1(english version) on a German XP professional with the German Version of Web browsers.
To start simple I used the web publishing tool.
When I do a simple snap of the VI it works fine with all browsers. When I enable remote control it only works with the
IE (here 7) but only if I disable the Kaspersky firewall (The VI's exe is included in the trusted programs)
Opera (my favorit, here 11.5) requests a missing plug in, but shows the header and footer texts
Firefox does similar but shows only a little icon for the missing front panel.
I am well aware of http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/151BE12C055F57CE86257043006CB4B3?OpenDocument
and made sure as far as I understood that "nplv2010win32.dll" is present where it is expected.
The listing of addons/plugings in Opera anf Firefox both metion the plugin.
I hope it is not true that Remote Panel does not work execept with IE, like a colleague of mine mentioned.

Hi Gabi,
unfortunately your colleague is right.
There are troubles using LV remote front panel within the latest firefox versions.
It was possible with firefox 1.x.
Opera is not supported for remote front panel access.
In fact the IE is the most stable and reliable browser for LV remote front panels.
Concerning the Kaspersky firewall:
Please can you check if all ports that are used within the LabVIEW webserver are opened...
The ports used by the LV webserver you can find out in the options settings of the LabVIEW server.

One more comment to that sad story.
Opera is also Mozilla based, so it will usally work with the same plug ins (if they work at all ;( )
