Hi shrekt,

the usual way is to load the vi with an older version of LabView, like LV7.1 Smiley Wink

Best regards,

GerdW, I think you should have used the word "intermediate" in your reply.

When I read it fast on the first time, I thought how anyone could convert a LV2009 VI into LV 8.6 with LV 7.1. Smiley Indifferent

Later, I understood its actual meaning. Smiley Happy

What does this have to do with 8.6? Ah, hijacking a thread... You cannot directly convert to 7.1. You have to save it as 8.0 and then open it with LabVIEW 8.0 and save it for 7.1. If you do not have 8.0 then post a request to this forum (as a new thread) to ask if someone can convert the VI to 7.1 for you.
