You don't need to do anything special:

1. Place a FOR loop around the interpolation node. Don't remove broken wires.
2. RIght-click on the cluster array input tunnel and select "disable indexing"
3. delete the "Y value" indicator.
4. right-click on the output tunnel and select "create indicator"
5. Name the indicator "Y-values".

I don't have the control desing toolkit, so I cannot help you with the transfer function problem.
