By partnership do you mean a business partnership or would you like to
contribute to open source projects? For the latter, I would check out
OpenG.org.

Sounds more like you're looking for work. From what I hear the best thing
to do is become an NI Alliance member. Looks like a real p
ain the ass
though. I'm not even sure if CLD is worth it.

Here's my two cents on how to get clients:

* Establish or attend LV user group meetings at facilities near potential clients

* Give presentations to show what you know - that combustion engine
stuff looks good. If it's not proprietary, then share it.

* Try to help others even if they look like potential competition

* Go to the NI free training sessions. Yeah, it's newbie stuff but they're
usually filled with potential clients. Plus you get to flex your LV
muscle in front of the newbies 😉

(sounds similar to the dating scene)

Clients will see that you know your stuff and will come to you. I like to
use JK of OpenG as an example. I don't know how many projects he
gets but I'm sure he's rarely without work. He's made a presence in the
LabVIEW community and it didn't happen over night.

Disregard this if I totally misinterpretted your post.
