decorations pumps 3dpipes

Hi everyone,

This might sound as a very simple question but i spent the whole day on it...

I used Labview 7.0 on my machine a few months ago. It had a
large collection of very nice equipment, 3d pipes, pumps, reactors, etc...

Now I installed Labview 8.0 and I just cannot figure out where
those decorations/symbols should be, or what
else i need to install to get them.

Any help is very much appreciated

Thanks
Z.

Hello,

To my knowledge, LabVIEW 8.0 does not include front panel objects like pumps and pipes.  Did you perhaps have the Automation Symbols Toolkit installed with LabVIEW 7.0?  This toolkit provides pumps, pipes, and all sorts of other automation-based symbols for the front panel.

Ooh, I didn't even know about the DSC stuff.  And since the Automation Symbols Toolkit is mega-old, I'm guessing Ben's answer is probably the right one.

Nice one, Ben.

Hi Darren,

You wrote "Ooh, I didn't even know about the DSC stuff.  And since the Automation Symbols Toolkit is mega-old,..."

I think they are on in the same. "A rose by any other name..." (W, Shakespear [sp?]) would give us a new marketing opertunity! Smiley Very Happy

I didn't know that either...apparently what was once its own toolkit is now included in DSC:
