diagram/front panel windows disappear

Doug;

This isn't related to how LV is bring used, it's an incompatability with XP. Under certain conditions the active window gets moved off-screen until it's closed and reopened...

Mike,

Can you give a repeatable set of steps to make this happen? We have been trying here, but nobody has been able to reproduce it yet, even following the directions in the first answer. This will help us track down what we can do about it. Thank you.

It appears to happen when XP goes into that neat mode where it stacks all the buttons for the program under the same button on the taskbar. I haven't been able to identify when exactly that it happens, or what triggers it.

When it does though, the window appears to be off the viewable screen above and to the left. I say this because if you select Move fromt he taskbar pop up for the missing window, the cursor comes in in the extreme upper left corner of the screen.

I also have the LV root window turned off in the ini file...

Download "Find Missing Window". It'll find the VI, and bring it back.
