diagram wires missing in windows xp

I'm using LV 7.0 on a XP home edition machine. All previous VI's were recompiled and run fine on XP but in the block diagram I have wires randomly missing. When you click in the space where there should be a wire, the invisible wire is highlighted so there is a connection.
View the attached jpg and note that the vi is able to run but the some wires are missing and some case structures are outlined wrong.
Any ideas?

What model is your video card?

As a first step I would see if there is an updated driver for your video card and OS.

Also try different color depth settings (16 bit, 24 bit color, etc.)

Thanks for you response.
In answer to you questions:
No new updates on driver for Matrox Graphics MGA-G100 AGP card or OS.
Currently running 32bit with 1024x Res. Changed all the way down to 16bit with 800x Res. Problem seemed to get worse with the lower resolution.

I have the same problem with Win XP Pro, using the same graphics board. I sent email to NI support, and they advised turning off driver video acceleration. Go to the display settings dialog, select "advanced", select "Troubleshoot" tab, back the acceleration slider off 1 click (suppress cursor and bitmap accelerations). This cured the problem on my system

This worked on my system, too. I had no problems prior to upgrading the OS from NT to XP. Then some of the wires disappeared. After backing off the acceleration one click, the wires reappeared.
