hi i am characterizing the TLV1572 ADC. It is a 10bit serial ADC. I want to recieve the output of this ADC using the LABVIEW.Also i am using PCI6251 card and scb68 connector. Ho can i proceed..

Hello,
I asume you intend to connect ADC output to a digital input of your PCI6251...I suggest you have a look at some LabVIEW examples that will show you how you can perform digital measurements (Help > Find examples...and then you can navigate to Hardware Input and Output > Digital Measurements > Cont Read Dig Chan-Int Clk.vi)
Just have a look at those examples and tell us wether or not it answers your problem.
Best,
J.

"i am characterizing the TLV1572 ADC"
Kind of hard to test the device if you bypass it.

TLV1572 is generating digital pulses serially at the baud rate of 1.25MSPS so can i have the code in labview which acquires this serial data...

Hi Ravi,
The PCI-6251 is capable of DIO at up to 10MHz. If the TLV1572 is sampling at 1.25 MSPS with 10 bits of resolution then it will be producing 10.25 Mbits/second of data which is more than could be transfered serially on a DIO line clocked at 10MHz.

Hi Barron you have sent the following message to my friend Ravi.It will be helpful if you please tell me the steps to calculate that for 1.25MSPS with 10 bits resolution the digital data is produced at 10.25Mbits/sec

1.25MSPS x 10
A single sample is 10 bits, correct? It's a serial output, correct? Each one of those bits has to clocked out before another sample is taken, correct?

hi barron
then what you suggest .for this ic, which card should i use.?
