Did you mean:

distribute xcontrol

What is the best way, or the best ways, to distribute an XControl.  I want as foolproof as possible.  When I built it as an LLB, and used Select a Control, I got both the XControl and the Data and State ability controls as selectable options.  Obviously, I don't want the Data and State controls to show up.  I did set the XControl as Top Level in the LLB.

Actually, I want two distribution types:

1. The foolproof simple version that just gives one the ability to put the XControl into user.lib and drop it onto a VI.

2. The source distribution that can be opened for editing.

Version 1 should make it as difficult as possible to mess up the supporting files, e.g. the abilities, properties, support VI's.  The support VI's should be isolated from name conflicts, so that if another vi with the same name shows up elsewhere, there won't be conflicts.
