You'd have to test it, but I am sure it probably does...Its not really a "problem" anyways, its more of a fact of life 😉
If you have controls overlapping they both have to be redrawn anytime one of them updates or is modified.
I have overlapped controls recently and don't really see much of a slow down except with graphs that are constantly updating...
