I am using LabVIEW 5.1 RT on an NT4 Workstation. I would like to build
sandalone apps that will
allow a user to select a data acq program from a menu and download that
program to the RT engine.
I have found an example that uses VI server, but it requires the VIs to
be downloaded before running
the HOST VI. And there are other examples that dynamicly load VIs but
not download them to the RT engine. Is it possible to indicate
programmaticly within a VI that it download and run on the RT engine?
Can VI Server be used to download a VI after LabVIEW was started eith
the HOST as the target
platform?
In other words... will we always have to select the target platform and
download VIs using the development system?
