hello i'm a new user to the dsc module.


i started by adapting one of the server examples that came with the dsc module, then i registered the server, tested the server with the interactive server tester and saw the values changing as i wanted.

then i went to the tag configuration editor and created tag to match the items.

launched the engine but the problem happens when i try to monitor the tags, i'm only able to see the first value of the tag, the tag does not refresh.

i don't know if this information is enough for somebody to help me, if not please tell me what i shoul tell.

This may be your introduction to the "update deadband". There are several deadbands associated with DSC tags and there is a Knowledgebase article outlining them here.

The value in the DSC tag engine won't change/update until the actual value changes by more than the update deadband. For new tags, it defaults (at least in LVDSC v6.1) to 1 (1% of a 0-100 range).

And just to clarify my previous post: it's what the KB article calls the "Tag Engine" deadband that I was referring to. The default value can be changed in the Tag Configuration Editor by going to Configure>Default Parameters.
