Hi,
I'm trying to get a MODBUS server running using the DSC module under LV2010. I should have a full licensce for it. I'm following a couple of tutorials on how to do this,
http://www.ni.com/swf/demos/us/labview/dscmodbus/
http://www.ni.com/swf/demos/us/labview/dscmve/
but I don't seem to have the multiple variables editor. Can anyone point me to things I might try to get this installed correctly? I just hit setup on the DSC package and everything seemed to work. I believe that I have a full development license, so I shouldn't be losing functionality.
Thanks for any suggestions.
cheers,
mike

I think NI has shuffled around or hidden the multiple variable editor in one of the more recent versions of LabVIEW after LV version 8 that is shown in those demos.
Take a look at this and see if it helps. http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361G-01/lvdialog/dsc_spconfigdb/
Try right clicking on a library inside the project window instead of going to the tools menu. (I had to create one variable first before the option became enabled.)
Perhaps someone from NI can jump in here and explain how and why the multiple variable editor got changed between versions. To me, it seems like it was almost buried, and certainly doesn't match what that demo video shows.
