enable microsecond timing

Hi,
I'm developing an application using cRIO. I'v tried to use timed loops in RT and switched to 1MHz timing clock but it didn't work. I knew then that this feature is disabled in RIO and I can enable it by editing ni-rt.ini file in the remote target. Now my problem is how to edit this file?
Thanx in advance

Hello Tareq.

I haven't used cRIO yet (but PXI, cFP and the CVS). To change the .INI file, I prefer the following procedure
(1) ftp the file to my PC
(2) make the changes locally
(3) ftp the file back to the RT system and thus overwriting the file
(4) reboot the RT system

You made me curious: What change must be done to the ni-rt.ini to switch to 1MHz timing clock ?

Best regards, Guenter

Hi Guenter

Thanks for the advice. I attached a document that explains everything. This document contains some parameters in the ini file to change that I don't even have on my original file.
the ni-rt.ini is attached too.
Many thanx
Tareq

Hello Tareq.

Thanks for your quick response and the document.  As I take from it, only cRIO is mentioned. As soon as the time comes that I need this functionality on any of the RT targets that I use I will look for suitable documentation.

Best regards, Guenter
