I'm new to NI Calibration Executive and there's no board specific to Calibration Executive, so here goes...
Using Calibration Executive version 3.4, I'm running a procedure for a NI DMM-4050 (shows up as DAQCard-4050 on the list), and I get an error halfway through the procedure (see attached graphic.) The procedure ends there- Boom, that's it, no retries, I have to re-run it from scratch. I tried with another DMM-4050 and it failed in the same place.
1. Why would it suddenly have trouble connecting to the IEEE-488 bus when it was working fine prior to that?
2. I tried to run it in limited mode for DC Volts only (since that's all I'm using) but it won't let me continue if I select just DC volts, I have to select at least one range from all sections to continue.
3. I want to be able to edit the procedure, maybe to add a dialog box with "Advance, Retry or Cancel" or at least edit out the section that fails. How do you edit Calibration Executive procedures (or can they even be edited by the end user)?

Hello Scott,
Yes for DMM's you cannot run individual calibration procedure, these procedures cannot be edited either.
Going back to the main issue, I think you were right to question the 488 bus. To get a better understanding of what is going on could you use the NI Spy utility to capture all the 488.2 calls to and from the Fluke device you are using for the calibration. For help using NI Spy please read this knowledgebase article Performing a Good NI Spy Capture. Once you capture the calls made during the calibration procedure, save the file and attach it to your reply.
Thanks
