error -41106 when trying to open a word template

when I run it saids that Word or Excel in not loaded on the system but it is and failes to open the word window. It does open an excel if I change the file type.

Could you please give us a little more information? How are you calling the template? What version of LabVIEW and Word?

I am just not sure what you are trying to do.

I am using Labview 7.1 and MS office 97. All I am doing is using the new report VI and setting the template to WORD. If I set it to excel the Excel window will pop up. But if I set it to Word it gives me this error. On more note is the if I use the taskman I can see that a process for word has started but it never pops up the screen. I am also running XP

This problem can be a result of a bad installation of Office. The first thing you should try is uninstalling and reinstalling LabVIEW and the toolkit. However, if this does not work, you should uninstall Office. You must also go into the system registry and delete all files that reference Office such as WinWord. You may then reinstall and Word should open as expected.

I have the same problem: error -41106 using Labview 7.1, Office 97 and windows XP. I have installed Labview after Office. Have you solved the problem since 9/04?
