fieldpoint "IO point" control does not generate event

when i use the "browse" option to change the value of a fieldpoint IO Point control at run time, a "Value Changed" event is not generated.  is this a bug?  is there a work around?

i am using labview 8.5.0, fieldpoint 6.0.3

when i run the attached VI, the "event counter" only increments if i select a new value from the IO Point drop down list, but not if i select a new value from the browse dialog.

Hi bs05442,

i have no fieldpoint device so i tried it with a DAQmx global channel control. I got the event if i directly select a channel and if i use the browse button.

Can you also check it with another Cotnrol?

I found this issue documented in a CAR, however R&D has not said whether or not it is a bug. The CAR also did not provide any work arounds. I have added your VI to the CAR in hopes that R&D will take another look at this issue.
