frequency synchronization on the USRP RIO

Solved!
Go to solution

 hi everybody;

-hardware: USRP RIO 2952

-overview of the project is to transmit and receive a text using labview comms and USRP RIO 2952,I already built the transmitter and the receiver.

 my question is that:

-I want to transmit and receive using one of the two channels of the USRP RIO,but we found that there is a frequency offset (shift) between the transmitter and the receiver.

-we try to measure this shift but we found that this shift is not fixed  it is variable.

-because of this problem we cant receive the transmitted signal.

-is that  a problem in the hardware itself.

thanks a lot.

Hi,

What kind of frequency shift are you seeing? -- a range would be helpful in terms of clarifying if this is expected behavior or not. In general, it's important to keep in mind that all our USRP devices are uncalibrated/unverified -- this means that we can't guarantee that you'll be seeing the exact same results every time you run a test on the device. Have you been able to make this work successfully on another USRP-RIO device? Are you using an example program in LabVIEW Comms? If so, which one?

Let me know!

Thanks,

Hi  sunaenae:

I already test the system(TX-RX) on another USRP-RIO and found that the problem still exist and no change,can you help me solving this problem,I am sure that there is a solution for this problem.

thanks a lot;
