frequency to voltage convertor

Just stared using labview at uni and was wondering if there was a frequency to voltage convertor function.

Not specifically. Frequency to voltage is device dependent. If you have the relationship for whatever device you are using then you can build your own function, using the formula node or one of the curve fitting functions.

There are off-the-shelf hardware modules to perform such a function if that will suit your needs. You then just need to read a voltage into a DAQ card. Analog Devices and Dataforth come to mind as manufacturers, as an example:

I will also say that if you are using certain SCXI modules from National Instruments you can configure the value read (in volts) as a frequency.
