Does the panel actually change color back to gray or is just the printout greyish?

(A lot of modern color printers have automatic color matching, which is often inappropriate for cartoonish things such as front panels. Try to play with the printer settings.)

If you just want plain b&w, you could also disable the "color/greyscale" option in the LabVIEW print options.

This a known issue fixed in LabVIEW 8.2
A little more background:
On a print (or getImage method) transparent parts are converted to gray.

Why did you post so many of the same message?

Do you want to set your default color for new VI's, or just change the color of a VI?  To change colors on the current VI, just shift right click on the front panel, and pick the paint brush.  Right click again to get to the color picker.  To fix the default colors for all new VI's, go to Tools menu, Options, Environment, then Colors section.

As for your message where you list motor nameplate specifications, I have no idea what your question is.  I don't know where you got your .doc file or .llb file in your other two messages.  All I can say is read the word document and follow it line by line.  It seems to be some sort of educational instruction sheet.

If you want to change the color of the front panel from one color to another manually, then go to "Tools->Options->colors" and then change the color of the front panel to whatever color you want.
