I have been using LabVIEW since version 3.
My hardware is:
1.6GHz quad i7
8 Gig RAM
SSD
LV2009
A VI that I've developed is ~3.9 Meg in size.
Often when I try to access properties of a chart (for example), LV takes a long time to respond. The hour glass icon can be present for 30 seconds. This adds up because I have 48 charts.
Even saving the code can be troublesome. Often, the front panel and diagram windows will indicate that they are "not responding".
I don't have trouble with the code running as an executable and it runs on much lower capability hardware. It is only in the coding environment that I seem to be choking.
Is the coding environment limited to a single processor?
I haven't seen any forum messages that seem to mention this problem. I had the same difficulties with LV8.6.
