Hi Labnoob,

I am sure you can do what you need, using the serial port and VISA programming. The issue arises in that you need to know how to format the Hart packets.

You can find some of the protocol implemented in VISA in this forum post.

Please can you take a look to see if this does what you need.

I’ll have a look at that, looks rather daunting but I’m sure I’ll figure it out. nevrer used visa programming before!

hello labnoob, did you ever get a vi to do what you wanted to do?
    I started a new job and need to create some calibration routinues to do exactly what you are talking about.
We also have a hart 375 on order, and would like to add  that to the mix.
I have a USB-6009
