That post wasn't actually a solution. It just directed Sandy to post in the most appropriate forum, which we now know is LabVIEW since it is LV 8.6.1.

You want to read the text file, then use the Search/Split String function to search for the matching characters that make up your hex pattern.
What you are asking for is wordly a little oddly since .csv files are text files, and you are asking for a "32-bit hex number". Can you give an example of what you are searching for? My answer assumes that you have an 8 character string that consists of the characters 0-9,A-F to make up 4 bytes. Perhaps you are dealing with just 4 bytes that would show up in a text file as ASCII characters. In which case you wouldn't have a .CSV file.
If the answer of Search/Split String isn't helpful to you, then you will need to provide more details as to what you are searching for and also an example of your .CSV file.
