I just have a question regarding the "Citadel Universe" in MAX 3.0.1/LV 7.0 (Win2k environment). It seemed to me nice because I hoped for an easier way to find a remote database. But it's not working.
For test we have one PC logging some data to a Citadel 5 database using DSC. On this machine the access in "Citadel Universe" (localhost) works pretty well. Now I'd like to access the database from another machine using Max 3.0.1. But the "Citadel Universe" isn't able to access the remote machine (logging the data). If I try to retrieve the properties it says something like: "the specified item... cannot be found".
I have access to the directory with the database though (using explorer) a
nd all service I can imagine are running. The only question I now have (and I didn't find a clue about in the docs) is, whether I have to share the database explicitly somewhere in the DSC configuration or somewhere else.
Further on there's running a new MSSQL service (SQL server). Two others don't start up automaticly (distributed transaction coordinator, SQL server agent). Am I supposed to configure something there to get remote access?
I'm completly lost right now, any help appreciated... 😉

PS: Can I access a Citadel 5 database from Diadem 8.1 the same way as a Citadel 4 database?
