lskander,

It sounds like you might not have the software targeted to the PDA.  To deploy this VI to the PDA you first need to switch the execution target by having the VI open and selecting Operate » Select Execution Target » Pocket PC or Palm decive/emulator.  Once you do this you should have access to the Build for PDA option.  You can also switch the target on the bottom of the LabVIEW Getting Started Screen.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks!

Hello Andy F.
Excuse me for the trouble.
But I have  questions.
I  installed the new WIN XP
I installed the MS Embedded Vision tools V3.0
Later wanted to install te PDA of LV.
And I received the message : MS Embedded Vision tools don't found.
But however I installed the PDA of LV.
And I don't see the PDA in LV
What do I do?
Best  regards

Hello Iskander,

If I understand you correctly, it sounds as if you upgraded your operating system to Windows XP and now you are having difficulty targeting your PDA? You mentioned that you received an error message, but then that you successfully installed LabVIEW PDA. Just to clarify, were you able to get this software installed?

For LabVIEW PDA prior to version 8.2, you need to have several tools already installed on your system. The error message that you've received indicates that these tools are either not present or that they cannot be detected. Please take a look at the list of required Microsoft software that you need in order to target your PDA application. You will want to install these components in this order, then followed by LabVIEW PDA. If these are already installed at this point, it would be the best approach to uninstall and reinstall these components. Please post back if you still have any trouble after these steps. Thanks,

Hello Iskander,

In regard to your latest trouble, this occurs when the VI that you are trying to download is currently running on the PDA. If you take a look at this knowledgebase, you will see how to resolve this error. Please give this a try and post back if you are still having any difficulty. Thanks,

Iskander,

I believe the problem you are experiencing may be due to the fact that you are trying to run this VI on your Windows machine, but the VI is targeted to a PDA. I can see from your screenshot that the active VI is targeted to run on a Pocket PC 2003 device. You will want to change your execution target to your Windows machine by selecting LabVIEW for Windows from the Operate >> Switch Execution Target menu.
