how to accesss Dll's Related to the display card

i do know C and after going thru the manual,i knew one thing that is "accessing DLL is not easy" its going to take a lot of programming skills. i would like to know if any kind of reading material is available other than the manual.

i can spend some time working on this since my other VI which accesses frame grabber card thru Active x is working fine.
