how to amplify a signal in software

I am acquiring two signals from 2 channels. MY algorithm uses the difference between the two waveforms. MY hardware signal conditioning amplifier is just enuf to get the siganl up to the A/D. The reason I did this was becoz the hardware gain, for both the channels differed slighlty( so i wanted tokeep this difference minimum).
NOw since the difference of the two sigals is really small I want to amplify the siganl 10 times and then implement my alogritm.
I have implemented digital IIR bandpass filter 300-3Khz.Shoudl I increase the gain in the filter?
Can you plz advice me as to which is the best way to ampliy the siganal in Labview.

Can you multiply the signal or the difference by 10?

that sounds really simple!Actually I was confused if I needed to extract the Y componetn of the waveform and then multiply that and create a new waveform. But I guess I can directly multiply the waveform
