Hi Lars,
You can play a movie by using windows media player embedded in an activex
control.
There is an example on the NI website on how to get Media Player to play
MP3's, It can be easily modified to run movies by going into the block
diagram and changing the pattern type on the 'List Directory' VI - leftmost
on the block diagram, from "*.mp3" to "*.mpg" or "*.avi" etc. Then expand
the size of the Activex control so you can see the movie view area (as the
VI was designed to play MP3's not videos, NI has minimised the view area by
resizing the control. The VI shows you how to control media player via
activex method and property nodes, it should become apparent how to take
full control if you study the example.
