Did you mean:

how to display array values on indicators

P.S. The image from jcarmody is a snippet. You can save this to your hard drive and then drag it to an empty block diagram. Did you do this? Did it work? If it does work, then there is a difference between the string you are getting and what you originally said you were getting.

Your bye count is zero. I guess I should have said arbitrary high to be clear. The Is Connected property does nothing. Remove it.

You are reading 0 bytes.   So what kind of response do you expect from that?

It's also a waste to create an indicator and then not have it visible on the block diagram.

Perhaps you should stop and take s couple of the free tutorials.

Never mind about the indicator. Just saw it nestled on with the others.

I see the message was edited and another image added, but a completely different block diagram.  So now I have no idea what the problem is, which diagram is related to the problem, and what we are supposed to be responding to.

Now I can't see the block diagram to know which of your versions of your VI that front panel is related to.

But with \ Codes, you can see the mismatch. Get rid of the null character.
