how to use SLAM with Lidar and in Myrio1900

I used this example program and integrated it into my project. 
However, it wasn't working properly, for example, it would wander around when encountering obstacles. So, I'm considering using SLAM for my project. Are there any similar projects or examples I could refer to? Thank you very much. I'd appreciate any answers. If you need a project, I can provide one.
