What is it that you want? If all you need is something to send and receive data over a serial port, there are examples shipping with LV that will do that.

What feature from HyperTerminal do you want to simulate with LV? 

Is it purely serial communication?  Logging feature? Ability to send script?

Go to the examples screen and do a search for "serial". If you don't know how to do that, go through the Getting Started document that ships with LV.
