i want to take (1 or 0 ) signals from the labview

i don't have USB DAQ and i don't want to buy it now because it is my last choice and i know that it will solve my problem but it is so expensive to buy it for project from my point of view so i am looking for another solution like USB to serial converter.

I don't think you really understand what a USB-RS232 converter will do. It becomes a com port and allows you to send data to something else that has a com port. It is not a D/A Converter for generating voltages.

Do you have access to USB peripherals, such as a USB-6009 DAQ? i think that what i replied and i am sure that USB-6009 is DAQ but to be honest i didn't know what is USB-RS232 so thank you for information Smiley Wink

I'm simply trying to understand what you have to work with.

 

Please correct the following statement:

 

You have:  Laptop PC, LabVIEW, motor, microcontroller.

 

Laptop PC does not have serial or parallel ports (normal).

 

Do you have anything else available to interface from the PC to either the microcontroller or the motor.

Unless we know more about how you plan to interface, we won't be able to suggest anything.

I think he is wanting us to suggest how to build his interface.

 

Well, you can buy a USB to Parallel Port converter, buy a cheap 5 volt power supply that provides the current you need to drive the motor, and buy a 5v relay.  Wire one data line of the parallel port to the relay coil.  Wire the power supply through the relay contacts to the motor.  Use Labview to send 1s and 0s to the parallel port.

Warning:  check the current drain of the relay coil against the current output of the parallel port.  If the port cannot supply enough current, you need a driver transistor to drive the relay coil.  The circuit becomes a bit more complicated.  Do you know how to wire transistors?

 finally some one understand what i want , yes i know how to connect each element in the circuit and i know what i will do but the problem was that this was the first time that i need to take output from the labview and it is also the first time i have to deal with USB to parallel or serial converter i never see it before or know how to deal with it ,i hope i find it today in the mall then i think it will be my problem to deal with it through the labview
